Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful position supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This contract role begins July 29, 2026, and extends through May 21, 2027, including pre-planning days. You'll work a steady full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.

In this role, you'll primarily serve a caseload of up to 10 students, mostly in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, with potential involvement in an upper-grade instructional segment as needed. The current classroom dynamic does not include significant behavioral challenges, and no toileting assistance is anticipated.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active GaPSC Teaching Credential, with at least a P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-age students
• Ability to effectively plan, implement, and adapt instruction for various learning needs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Use data-driven decision making to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student developments
• Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting responsibilities
