Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting young learners in a nurturing elementary school setting. This contract assignment begins July 29, 2026, and extends through May 21, 2027, including essential pre-planning days. You'll enjoy a consistent full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, serving primarily kindergarten to 2nd grade students with a manageable caseload of no more than 10 children. There is also the possibility of supporting an upper-grade instructional segment if needed.

This assignment is designed for educators skilled in providing individualized instruction and fostering growth in students with diverse needs. The current caseload does not include students with significant behavioral challenges, nor will you be expected to manage toileting needs.

Desired Qualifications

• Possession of an active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Credential
• P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement (at minimum; additional endorsements may be required)
• Experience working in special education classrooms, collaborating with elementary-age children
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and create engaging, inclusive lessons
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff
• Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, pre-planning, and professional development sessions
• Communicate regularly with families and staff to ensure student progress
