Work Environment As a fully remote role, our mental health counselors operate in a professional and comfortable home office environment. In addition to remote counseling, you’ll also have the option to connect with peers through virtual meetings, case consultations, and training sessions. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to gauge clients' mental health needs, implementing effective, evidence-based treatment plans. Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to the individual needs of each client, from cognitive-behavioral therapy to solution-focused approaches. Collaborate with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals, monitoring progress through regular follow-ups and adjustments to treatment plans when necessary. Offer teletherapy options, accommodating clients who prefer virtual sessions and ensuring everyone has access to vital mental health support, regardless of physical location. Maintain detailed, timely, and compliant documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress, adhering to legal and ethical obligations. Participate in ongoing professional education and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay updated with the latest mental health practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Our therapists serve a diverse client population, including but not limited to individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. We prioritize creating a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood, and our team works diligently to adapt therapeutic practices to meet the unique needs of each individual. Qualifications Must possess a current and valid state license as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD. Hold a Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to foster trusting relationships with clients. Demonstrated empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards challenges faced by clients, with a strong commitment to their well-being. Adept organizational and time-management abilities to effectively manage caseloads and administrative duties. Preferred Experience Experience in a variety of therapy approaches, with a focus on evidence-based practices. Prior experience in a telehealth setting or proficiency with virtual counseling tools is highly desirable. Ability to engage with a wide range of age groups and backgrounds, fostering inclusivity and understanding.
