Position: Accounting Manager Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Id: 168 # of Openings: 0 Cutter's Edge is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and team development. This role partners closely with operational leadership to ensure accurate financials, process consistency, and strong business support across a fast-paced environment. Our Accounting Manager is a full-time, in-office position Mon-Fri reporting to the Director of Accounting. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing senior accountant ready to take the next step into leadership and build a long-term career with a growing organization. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, hands-on people manager who operates with urgency, embraces change, and can pivot quickly as the business evolves. For the right person, this role offers meaningful visibility, expanding responsibility, and the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership position. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and month-end close Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility, and operational financial review Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements Coordinate audit support and assist with tax, fixed asset, and compliance-related activities Supervise and develop accounting staff while improving processes and reporting efficiency Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives Other responsonsibilities as needed Qualifications: 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or service-based environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is ideal Prior leadership or supervisory experience required Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and internal controls Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience required Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Ability to travel to branch locations in south Florida Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check About Us: Cutters Edge is here to help improve, beautify, and increase our customers’ business and property values through landscape.
