Service Desk Technician

A financial services organization in Virginia is seeking a Service Desk Technician to join their team in Winchester or Vienna. This role provides Tier 1 technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment and serves as the first point of contact for technology-related issues and service requests.
About the Opportunity:- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday or Monday to Friday
- Hours: 5am to 1:30pm or 11am to 7:30pm
- Setting: Hybrid
- Locations: Winchester, VA or Vienna, VA
- Respond to inbound calls and provide technical support and troubleshooting
- Support users through web queues, outbound interactions, and email
- Resolve routine technical issues in a timely manner and escalate items outside Tier 1 scope as needed
- Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately
- Use available technical resources, documentation, and knowledge bases to support request fulfillment and maintain effective communication with end users
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Knowledge and understanding of information technology concepts and practices
- Basic technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexibility to support assigned schedules, including weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours when required
- 3+ years of Tier 1 technical support or similar experience
- Previous call center, help desk, service desk, or front-line customer support experience
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and practices
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or another enterprise ticketing/service-management platform
- Knowledge of financial-services or similarly regulated enterprise environments
- Knowledge of organizational operations, policies, and procedures
