Job Details Job Location: Heart of Florida Health Center MAIN - Ocala, FL 34470 Job Summary The Human Resources Manager will participate in the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, learning and development, and leave administration. This position will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in developing, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, functions, and activities. It provides direct management and oversight to all non‑exempt Human Resources positions and serves as a proxy in meetings when needed. Additionally, the manager serves as the HR partner for the Corrections team, working closely with the Chief Corrections Administrator to provide HR guidance and support. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field strongly preferred PHR or SHRM-CP certification required A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, including benefits management, leave administration, and talent acquisition A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Human Resources Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred Previous experience working with Paycom strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and trends Strong computer skills and excellent attention to detail and follow‑through skills Excellent communication skills, including writing, computer, and public speaking Demonstrated understanding of privacy rights and ability to maintain confidentiality in all medical, financial, and other sensitive materials Ability to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities and prioritize scheduling of work Demonstrated excellent internal and external customer service skills Demonstrated personal and professional commitment to the mission of Heart of Florida Health System and its Mission and Vision Statement and the Achievement of Performance Standards of Principles of Practice Essential Functions Assists the CHRO in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and policies to improve the employee experience Supervises and develops all non‑exempt HR staff, including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and position modifications Recruits all non‑clinical and Corrections positions, supports Departmental Directors, Managers, and Supervisors with pre‑screening, screening interviews, in‑person interviews, and offers of employment; serves as backup for all clinical positions Attends job fairs and collaborates with staffing agencies as needed Manages the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), reviewing and making improvements as needed Manages employee benefit programs, educates employees, processes elections and changes in Paycom, ensures changes are entered for open enrollment, and reconciles benefit statements with Finance Provides oversight for learning and development programs, ensuring content is current, relevant, and compliant with industry and regulatory standards Manages the performance evaluation program, assigning reviews, tracking completion, processing compensation adjustments, and partnering with the CHRO to address exceptions Revises job descriptions upon request and as necessary Manages the FMLA process, ensuring required documentation is supplied, approving or denying requests, keeping managers informed, updating Paycom, and tracking available time Processes all Workers Compensation claims, meets reporting deadlines, and ensures employees receive treatment and drug screening as required Tracks all reportable injuries on OSHA logs and posts OSHA 300 logs annually Serves as backup to the CHRO, acting as proxy in meetings as needed Represents the Human Resources Department at inter‑departmental meetings and company or community events as directed Demonstrates professional demeanor in appearance and behavior in all work‑related interactions inside and outside the health centers Demonstrates initiative, the ability to work with others, and professional judgment Performs job responsibilities within defined procedures, policies, and standards Participates in special projects as requested Serves as the HR partner for the Corrections team, providing employee relations guidance, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions to supervisors and managers Keeps the CHRO abreast of any issues within the Corrections team and seeks guidance when dealing with complex or legally significant matters Performs other duties as assigned by the CHRO Physical Requirements Frequent sitting at a desk for office work Occasional driving of automobiles for outside appointments and meetings Continuous use of corrected vision, depth perception, wide field of vision, and color; continuous use of olfactory, auditory, and tactile senses Position is regularly active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day Duties require diligence, alertness, problem‑solving, tolerance to stress, and attention to detail Must exercise sound judgment Must frequently lift and/or move items over 30 pounds Must lift, carry, and manage equipment, supplies, and other work site materials according to position requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
