Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician, Sparta Mi- 1st & 3rd Shift

We are seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a 1st or 3rd shift contract position, lasting 6 to 9 months, at our Sparta, Michigan location. This role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant equipment, performing preventive maintenance (pm), and completing work orders. No weekends are required, as we have a dedicated weekend shift crew.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Perform skilled repair services on mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment.
• Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate repair requests.
• Identify and order necessary replacement parts.
• Supervise the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of switches, cables, and other equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate installation support and service operations.
• Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Essential skills:

• At least 3 years of industrial machine repair experience.
• Experience in hydraulic repair.
• Proficiency in repairing conveyors, fillers, labelers, and sensors.

Additional skills & qualifications:

• Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
