Job Description HVAC Assistant – Transformco (Sears Home Services – In Home) Location Orlando, FL 32801, United States Job Scope Assist in the installation of a minimum of 3 heating and air conditioning systems per week, generating $1,357,200 in annual revenue, while maintaining excellent customer service. Job Summary The HVAC Assistant supports the HVAC Lead Installer in all installations of Heating and Cooling products—including heat pumps, heating ventilation and air conditioning units, gas or oil furnaces, and boilers—ensuring timely completion in compliance with company, city, state, and county code requirements. The role also includes frontline service and repair duties within the assigned area. Reports To Area Manager, HVAC Responsibilities Assist in installation of new Heating and Air Conditioning systems and related accessories according to company, safety, and manufacturer specifications. Ensure complete protection of customer's property during installation or service of product. Remove all old equipment from customer's home and clean up all areas utilized for the new installation. Maintain the highest level of customer service while performing installation and other job duties, promoting additional products and services to the customer. Maintain the highest level of standards for time management and quality completions. Ensure material inventory and vehicle maintenance meet company requirements. Promote additional accessories and items available to each customer. Assist in obtaining all required permitting based on company, city, state, and county code requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of related experience. Valid driver’s license for the state of employment. Up to 100% travel. 18 years of age or older. Required Skills Applicable CFC license. Ability to communicate, read, understand, and apply written technical text to answer questions, solve problems, or complete job tasks. Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment, and materials used to perform services on HVAC units. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to work variable and flexible hours, including significant overtime as needed, along with overnight and Sunday service as needed. Ability to follow industry-specific regulations related to the handling of hazardous materials. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach, and climb. Ability to drive and travel long distances. Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various demographic areas. Preferred Skills Strong HVAC diagnostics knowledge and experience. Residential HVAC and duct installation. Working Hours and Travel Up to 100% travel, including overnight and Sunday service. Variable and flexible hours with significant overtime as needed.
