Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Property Accountant to join a stable and collaborative team supporting a portfolio of residential properties throughout Metro Atlanta.


This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full accounting cycle for assigned properties while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a hybrid schedule. You'll gain exposure to monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational accounting in an environment that values accuracy, teamwork, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Record journal entries and manage general ledger activity
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Analyze financial performance and investigate variances
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Respond to financial inquiries and provide accounting support as needed
• Assist with special projects and other general accounting responsibilities

• Monthly financial statements are completed accurately and on time
• Account reconciliations are thorough, with discrepancies identified and resolved promptly
• Financial variances are clearly explained through thoughtful analysis
• Strong partnerships with internal teams contribute to efficient accounting operations
• Accounting records remain organized, accurate, and audit-ready

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property accounting experience (multi-family)
• Experience working with accounting and/or property management systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
