Operating Room Nurse

This position includes rotating shifts of PM 4 × 10 hour shifts. Call and weekend shifts are required, with a potential for up to 3 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.

The Operating Room Nurse will work in a Level 1 Trauma facility, providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. The role requires strong proficiency in various surgical specialties, with a focus on general, orthopedic (total joints), neuro (cranial and spine), vascular, trauma, and robotic surgeries (DaVinci system, including cardiac procedures).

Assist in various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment.

Manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.

Adhere to sterile technique and infection control policies.

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the operating room, with preference for 3 years.

At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 Trauma center.

A minimum of 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years.

Strong expertise in general, orthopedic (total joints), neuro, vascular, trauma, and robotics (DaVinci, including cardiac procedures).
