Legal Billing Specialist - hybrid after 90 days - Central Phoenix, AZ - $28/hr

My client, a tech-enabled managed services organization (MSO) designed to serve as the operational and technology backbone for leading law firms, financial institutions, and professional services firms, is looking for a Billing Specialist. This role prepares timely, accurate client invoices and helps design, implement, and improve billing policies and procedures.

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $28/hr

\n

Location: hybrid Phoenix, AZ 85034

\n

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm ( flexible during business hours)

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Distribute prebills/drafts for review
\n
• Review of narratives prior to attorney review
\n
• Mark up prebill for changes - time transfers, splits, and other adjustments
\n
• Attorney prebill/draft markups input to Aderant
\n
• Submit / Follow-up on approvals for Write-offs, Deferrals, etc.
\n
• Follow up on inclusion or exclusion of expenses
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Legal e-Billing - experience w/ LEDES files, attorney interactions, and e-billing vendors
\n
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related Business area
\n
• Knowledge of customer contractual arrangements
\n
• Ability to understand complex pricing methods
\n
• Excellent attention to detail / Strong problem solving and analysis skills
\n
• Advanced Excel skills required
\n
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
