Senior Counsel

Position Title Associate Counsel Position Reports To General Counsel Position Summary The Associate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial and corporate contracts and provide legal support across multiple business units throughout the United States and Canada. Essential Functions Draft, review, and negotiate master service agreements and other commercial contracts. Coordinate with business leaders to ensure contracts are developed in line with division and corporate objectives. Assist in the development and integration of Apache’s contracting policies. May provide legal support and contribute to litigation, human resources, and/or risk management functions. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree Licensed by the State of Texas to practice law Minimum of three (3) years of legal experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High level of integrity and ethical standards. Demonstrated project leadership with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work analytically and creatively to solve problems. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally effectively to meet company goals and customer needs. Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment. Working Conditions / Physical Demands Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
