QA Lead

Overview: Role: QA Lead Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL - hybrid onsite (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!) Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the overall QA strategy, covering both manual and automated testing.
- Lead, mentor, and manage QA engineers across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and establish test coverage.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Establish and track quality metrics to measure testing effectiveness.
- Ensure timely test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Advocate for quality standards and best practices across the SDLC.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 3+ years in a lead/managerial role.
- Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with API testing, performance testing, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security and compliance testing.
