Why This Role Matters The Customer Logistics Specialist is the central hub of our supply chain. You are the vital link between our customers, our warehouse, and our transportation partners. This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to enter data—it’s for a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in the “perfect delivery.” Your ability to orchestrate complex shipping schedules directly impacts our reputation for reliability and our customers’ success. Your Impact: Key Responsibilities Customer Success & Order Orchestration Own the Order Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end order process with precision, ensuring every customer order is processed and fulfilled seamlessly. Be the Face of Logistics: Serve as the primary professional contact for clients, managing delivery appointments and special requests with a high-touch service approach. Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate potential delays before they happen and resolve inquiries with urgency and professionalism. Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Sales, Warehouse, and Production teams to synchronize delivery dates with real-time inventory availability. Strategic Planning: Assist the Logistics Manager in designing weekly delivery schedules and coordinating nationwide refrigerated FTL (Full Truckload) and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipments. Carrier Partnership: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with carriers and brokers to ensure priority service and reliable pickups. Active Transit Monitoring: Track shipments in real-time, proactively mitigating delays to ensure the cold chain remains intact and the customer stays informed. Documentation Mastery: Ensure 100% accuracy in critical shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and logistics records. Drive Efficiency: Identify opportunities to optimize freight utilization, reduce transportation costs, and lean out logistics workflows. Systems & Operational Excellence ERP Stewardship: Maintain precise, real-time records within SAP Business One. Data-Driven Improvement: Generate and analyze performance reports to identify bottlenecks and suggest innovative solutions for continuous improvement. What You Bring to the Table Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred. We will also consider candidates with a blend of educational background and 3+ years of experience in the logistics, frozen food, and/or bakery sectors. Experience: 2+ years of proven success in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or high-volume order management. Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel (for data organization) and Outlook. Communication Power: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; the ability to negotiate firmly but professionally with diverse stakeholders. Bilingual (English/Spanish) The Right Mindset: An obsession with detail, superior organizational skills, and the agility to pivot priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points (Preferred): Industry Expertise: Direct experience in frozen food distribution or refrigerated (cold chain) logistics. Logistics Depth: Deep knowledge of FTL/LTL coordination and strategic route planning. Systems Experience: Prior hands-on experience with SAP Business One or a similar enterprise ERP. Additional Requirements Month-End Commitment: Due to the nature of our business cycle, overtime is required at the end of each month (typically 1–2 additional hours on the final business day) to ensure all shipments are closed and documented correctly.
