Sous Chef – Culinary Excellence at Oaks Whitaker Glen (CCRC) About the Role The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in our high‑end, cook‑from‑scratch kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of culinary operations. This position requires refined culinary skills, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. The Sous Chef ensures consistency, creativity, and excellence in every dish while fostering a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Support the Executive Chef in overseeing day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, standards, and presentation.
- Train and mentor cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers to improve skills and performance.
- Conduct daily lineups and assist with onboarding and retention of top culinary talent.
