Learn more about us and why we work here at The role SoFi Tech Solutions (STS) is building the next generation of financial infrastructure that powers innovative fintechs, financial institutions, and enterprise partners. As digital assets, stablecoins, and tokenized financial infrastructure continue to reshape payments and settlement, we are looking for a strategic leader to help define how STS participates in this rapidly evolving ecosystem. As Senior Director, Digital Asset Strategy, you will lead STS's strategy for digital assets, stablecoins, blockchain-based payments, and emerging financial infrastructure. You will identify high-impact market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, evaluate commercialization opportunities, and help shape our long-term roadmap for bringing digital asset capabilities to market. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, product, engineering, legal, compliance, and business development. You'll serve as an internal thought leader and external industry representative while helping executives make informed investment decisions in one of fintech's fastest-evolving markets. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in institutional payments, stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure, and financial services who thrives translating emerging technologies into scalable business opportunities. What You'll Do Develop and own STS's digital asset and stablecoin strategy aligned to company priorities and long-term growth objectives. Identify emerging market opportunities across stablecoins, tokenized deposits, blockchain settlement, programmable money, digital identity, and related technologies. Evaluate new business opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence, customer discovery, and commercial viability assessments. Build and manage strategic partnerships across blockchain ecosystems, financial institutions, payment networks, infrastructure providers, fintechs, and technology partners. Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to assess feasibility and commercialization of new digital asset capabilities. Represent STS externally with customers, strategic partners, industry organizations, conferences, and executive forums. Serve as the company's subject matter expert on digital assets, educating executive leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders on industry developments, regulatory trends, and market dynamics. Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and industry standards, partnering with Legal and Compliance to ensure strategic alignment. Develop executive-level business cases, investment recommendations, and strategic proposals supporting future platform expansion. Help define partnership strategies, go‑to‑market approaches, and commercialization models for digital asset initiatives. Build executive relationships across the payments, banking, fintech, and blockchain ecosystems. Influence long‑term strategic direction while working collaboratively across multiple business functions to deliver measurable business outcomes. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 15+ years of experience across payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, digital assets, blockchain, strategy consulting, business development, or related fields. Deep expertise in stablecoins, blockchain-based payments, institutional settlement, or digital asset infrastructure. Demonstrated experience developing business strategy for emerging technologies within financial services. Experience building strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment networks, fintechs, or infrastructure providers. Strong understanding of payment rails, settlement systems, banking infrastructure, and commercial payments. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy and executive recommendations. Experience influencing senior executives and leading cross‑functional initiatives without direct authority. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Proven ability to evaluate ambiguous opportunities and make strategic recommendations supported by data and market insights. Nice to have Experience working with card networks, sponsor banks, or core banking platforms. Experience with tokenized deposits, CBDCs, programmable payments, or digital identity initiatives. Background in software engineering, distributed systems, or technical product management. Experience launching digital asset or blockchain‑enabled financial products. Existing relationships across digital asset ecosystems, fintechs, or institutional financial services. MBA or advanced degree. Compensation And Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location. This role may also be eligible for a bonus and/or long term incentives.
