Working closely with key members of the accounting department on significant areas of the financial statements, both foreign and domestic. Have the opportunity to work with business partners on new initiatives, as well as, have the ability to integrate such strategic initiatives into current accounting and business processes. Work closely and assist cross-functional teams with the integration of current financial systems into more streamlined process flows.Major Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.As part of the monthly accounting close, prepare journal entries, analyze results and prepare general ledger reconciliation schedules by reviewing general ledger activity and obtaining a full understanding of the account activity to support month-end reported balances to ensure financial statements are complete, accurate and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Own certain accounting from start to finish – including reconciling AR between systems, and reconciling cash, AR, and sales to each other on a daily basis. Investigating and resolving variances.Analyze certain income statement accounts by reviewing expense trending as well as accrual analysis for completeness of liabilities and expense capture as well as providing input with regards to variancesAssist in all aspects of inventory analysis, including reconciliation of key reserves and roll-forward preparationPerform monthly expense trend and budget vs. actual analyses for review with key department personnel as part of our monthly close proceduresAssist in the review of contracts and other transactions for appropriate accounting treatmentParticipate and project manage statutory and external audits. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing assigned schedules and gathering requested support for the audits.
