Logistics Specialist/Driver This exciting role’s responsibilities will consist of about 80% logistics specialist working in the warehouse and 20% driving. The Driver delivers and picks up goods as needed, and is responsible for the maintenance records, cleanliness, operability, and appearance of Company vehicles. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for Receiving, Order Picking, and Shipment of products to both internal and external customers. This individual will need excellent driving abilities and experience working within a manufacturing warehouse environment to succeed in the role. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of various aerospace components. Responsibilities: The position may require forklift operation, use of power hand tools, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Receives shipments of incoming materials. Load and unload trucks. Select appropriate packaging materials and containers per customer requirements. Routes outgoing shipments through various means of transportation. Completes applicable paperwork such as customs invoices, bills of lading, barcode labels, job pick lists, and manufacturing orders. Pulls parts from stores and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability of lot numbers. Maintains shipment history files. Interfaces as needed with Purchasing, Production Control, Program Management, and Scheduling to ensure the timely movement of material through the internal supply chain. Supports Management as directed. Perform part marking and over-coating using Manufacturing Order instructions, Blueprints, and Desktop Instructions. Operate various vehicles to transport goods and materials in the Puget Sound area. Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other light hand power equipment. Maintains cleanliness of vehicles. Performs daily inspections and weekly written inspections on vehicles (including fluids levels, air pressure, etc.) Maintains daily driving log files. Turns in fuel receipts to accounting. Reports required maintenance and repair issues to the Shipping Manager. Qualifications: Motivated and dependable individual who exhibits strong attention to detail and arrives on time for work. Valid Washington State Driver’s License. Excellent driving record meeting the standards required by the Company’s insurance policy. Ability to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule that may result in short days, short notice unscheduled overtime, or additional weekend shifts. Being forklift certified is preferred.
