Secaucus, United States | Posted on 05/21/2024 Under the supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in the following areas: Providing support for accounts payable and receivable functions Streamlining and managing the company's bookkeeping processes Assessing and reporting on financial budgets while monitoring expenses Applying and interpreting accounting policies, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance Conducting reconciliation of landfill statements Undertaking basic office tasks including filing, data entry, phone handling, and mail processing Compiling and generating financial reports as required Safeguarding the confidentiality of all financial data Executing transactions, issuing checks, and maintaining ledger records and budgets Assisting in audits, conducting fact checks, and resolving discrepancies Requirements Qualifications: Possession of an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field 5+ experience in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in computer skills with a focus on MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and QuickBooks Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy Exceptional time management abilities coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to ethical standards Proven capacity to handle diverse priorities while meeting deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Candidate Connections
