Tax Manager – Public Accounting Firm Location: Tampa, FL Work Style: Hybrid or In-Office Opportunities (flexible in‑office schedule) Compensation: $120,000 – $165,000 base + bonus (DOE) Well‑established public accounting firms are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. Key Responsibilities Manage complex tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S‑corps, and closely held businesses Review returns prepared by staff and seniors for technical accuracy and compliance Research complex tax issues and provide practical client solutions Support client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning discussions Lead, mentor, and develop team members through review and training Assist partners with business development, client onboarding, and workflow efficiency Qualifications Active CPA license (required) 6+ years of public accounting experience Strong technical knowledge in federal and state tax compliance Excellent communication and leadership skills Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess or UltraTax Preferred Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related discipline Prior experience working with high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, or family offices Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, including time in the office and client sites (minimum ~3 days/week) Why This Role Hybrid flexibility (typical in‑office requirement noted by employer) Stable, growing client base across multiple industries Clear promotion potential and leadership succession planning Competitive compensation, benefits, and PTO Confidential inquiries encouraged.
