Senior Analyst

Overview Senior Analyst: Bowhead is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst to support an upcoming effort at NAWCAD in Patuxent River, MD. This role serves as a strategic leader responsible for guiding analytical approaches, shaping project direction, and delivering high-impact solutions in support of mission‑critical objectives. Responsibilities Lead the application of advanced analytical techniques to support program objectives and strategic decision‑making Define project scope, objectives, and analytical methodologies in alignment with client mission needs Provide leadership and vision to client stakeholders and internal project teams regarding analytic approaches and execution Resolve complex, high‑visibility problems requiring deep expertise in analytical methods, frameworks, and best practices Direct and oversee the work of junior analysts and support staff, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership Support program management activities, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement Ensure all work products meet government standards, compliance requirements, and contractual obligations Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree (MA/MS) OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 additional years of relevant experience Demonstrated expertise in applying analytical methodologies to solve complex problems Proven ability to lead teams and manage analytical efforts across multiple stakeholders Experience supporting high‑visibility or mission‑critical programs Strong communication skills with the ability to brief senior government and contractor leadership Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting naval aviation, test & evaluation, or acquisition programs Familiarity with NAWCAD operations, processes, or systems Prior experience in a government consulting or defense contracting environment Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
