Head of Customer Design Services

This role will lead a team of talented designers who collaborate with our customers to create impactful websites, gift cards, and other design-related projects for their businesses. In addition to managing the team, the Head of Customer Design will handle customer escalations, strategize and execute growth for the team, collaborate with different teams throughout the company, and maintain as well as pitch, secure and execute new partnerships for the Customer Design team. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and a strong ability to cross-collaborate with a multitude of teams. *Position reports to Pleasanton , CA- Onsite position*

How you will contribute:

• Lead a team of designers to create compelling and visually appealing designs that align with customer expectations.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their design needs, objectives, and competitive landscape.
• Provide guidance on the team's work, including logo creation, color palettes, and typography.
• Handle customer escalations and ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow the customer design team, including talent acquisition, training and development, and project prioritization.
• Collaborate with different teams, including marketing, product, engineering, support, sales & customer loyalty.
• Maintain existing partnerships and actively seek new business opportunities to expand the customer design team's reach and capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design.

Who we are searching for:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating design teams.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Proficient in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to think critically and creatively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in working with customers in a creative capacity, preferably in the online/digital industry.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing project requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
