Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and individual needs for therapy.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, documenting treatments and evaluating outcomes to refine therapeutic goals as necessary.
• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and family members on how to perform exercises and use assistive devices safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and holistic support.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training sessions to remain current with industry advancements and techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist at Broward Care, you will work with a diverse array of patients, including those recovering from post-surgical procedures, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and developmental issues. Our patient-centered approach ensures that each treatment plan is tailored to support the specific circumstances and goals of the individual, promoting optimal recovery and functional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university is required; a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective patient interaction.
• Competence in computer systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is required.

Compensation and Benefits
