Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care (OB-GYN)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Type: 14-Week Contract | Traveler or Local

Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)

Pay Rate: $55 - $60/hour
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient OB-GYN setting. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, care coordination, triage, education, and clinical support while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This position is ideal for nurses with women's health experience who thrive in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience within the last 2 years required.
• OB-GYN nursing experience required.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Experience working in hospitals of similar size and acuity preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Level I Trauma Center experience highly desired.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Clear professional license history with no suspensions, investigations, or liability claims.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and nursing evaluations.
• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in an ambulatory OB-GYN setting.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and patient treatments.
• Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare team members.
• Triage patient concerns and provide appropriate clinical guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and other clinical systems.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.

Certification & Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Level I Trauma Center Experience
