Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the severity and nature of mood disorder symptoms, identifying key stressors and underlying issues.

• Collaboratively develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and life circumstances of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address client concerns.

• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain detailed, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to share knowledge and best practices.

• Actively advocate for mental health awareness and fight against stigma within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse clientele may include those who have experienced trauma, refugees, domestic abuse victims, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Your work will play an essential role in fostering healing and resilience among these vulnerable groups.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
