Help us attract and hire qualified professionals who are committed to serving our community.Key DetailsJob Title: Recruiter Department: Human Resources Reports To: HR Director FLSA Status: Nonexempt Work Setting: On-site Location: Culver City, CA Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pay Range: $30–$40 per hour, DOEWhat You'll Do: The Impact You'll MakeAs a Recruiter, you will manage full-cycle recruitment for positions across Alcott's mental health, supportive housing, and administrative programs. You will partner with hiring managers, provide a responsive candidate experience, maintain accurate records, and help strengthen Alcott's hiring practices.Full-Cycle Recruitment and Hiring PartnershipOwn the process: Manage multiple requisitions from intake through accepted offer and transition to onboarding.Partner with hiring managers: Clarify staffing needs, required qualifications, selection criteria, work schedules, and realistic hiring timelines.Create effective postings: Review and update job descriptions and write accurate, inclusive postings that clearly communicate the role, requirements, schedule, work setting, and pay range.Sourcing and Candidate EngagementBuild strong pipelines: Source candidates through job boards, employee referrals, professional networks, schools, workforce development programs, community partners, and direct outreach.Reach specialized talent: Develop practical sourcing strategies for recurring, specialized, credentialed, high-volume, and difficult-to-fill positions.Represent Alcott: Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, school partnerships, and community outreach activities.Screening, Interviewing, and SelectionAssess talent consistently: Review applications against established job-related qualifications and conduct structured phone, video, and in-person screening interviews.Coordinate selection: Schedule interviews and panels, maintain timely candidate communication, and obtain hiring-manager feedback.Support compliant hiring: Complete professional reference checks and other authorized preemployment steps, prepare approved offer documentation, and coordinate prehire requirements with the HR team.Recruitment Operations, Metrics, and ComplianceMaintain accurate records: Keep candidate, requisition, disposition, interview, offer, and hiring records current in the Applicant Tracking System and other approved HR systems.Use data to improve results: Track requisition status, candidate flow, time to fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and other assigned recruitment measures. Identify delays and recommend practical improvements.Promote fair hiring: Apply job-related criteria and Alcott procedures consistently while supporting equal employment opportunity, disability accommodation, pay transparency, fair chance, confidentiality, and recordkeeping requirements.Exercise sound judgment: Promptly elevate accommodation requests, potential conflicts of interest, candidate complaints, and other sensitive concerns to the HR Director.What You'll Bring: Your QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field is preferred.At least three years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and applicant tracking.Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and competing deadlines with limited day-to-day supervision.Experience using an Applicant Tracking System or Human Resources Information System and online sourcing platforms.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams or comparable business applications.Preferred QualificationsRecruiting experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, mental health, supportive housing, healthcare, or social services environments.Experience recruiting for high-volume, specialized, licensed, credentialed, or difficult-to-fill positions.Experience developing candidate pipelines through schools, workforce programs, community organizations, and professional networks.Familiarity with California hiring requirements and fair chance recruitment practices.Professional human resources or recruiting certification.Skills and AbilitiesStrong interviewing, candidate assessment, sourcing, negotiation, and written communication skills.Ability to build effective working relationships with candidates, hiring managers, community partners, and HR colleagues.Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.Ability to organize detailed work, maintain accurate records, follow established approval processes, and meet deadlines.Ability to clearly explain recruitment requirements, address routine hiring-manager questions, and elevate higher-risk matters appropriately.Ability to work independently while contributing to shared HR priorities and service standards.Work RequirementsWork is performed primarily on-site in an office environment and requires regular computer, telephone, video-meeting, and applicant tracking system use.Occasional local travel may be required for job fairs, recruiting events, schools, programs, or other Alcott locations.If driving becomes an assigned essential function, the employee must maintain a valid California driver's license and remain eligible to drive under Alcott's insurance requirements.The employee must complete all lawful, job-related preemployment requirements.
