Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)

• Ensure all manual and automated system tasks related to recruitment/onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, HR management and training are completed accurately and on time, including but not limited to data entry/interfacing, salary administration, notifications, and personnel file maintenance. Document processes related to tasks and requirements.
• Perform ongoing tests for new and existing system features to ensure system integrity and functional performance. Prepare, schedule and run reports and metrics for internal and external audiences.
• As the HRIS subject matter expert, represent the interests of the HRIS to Departments and Regions, Payroll/Finance and IT. Manage and maintain Human Resource Information System user access and security procedures. Document and train HR administrators, Managers and Employee users on system capabilities and their proper use.
• As directed by HR Leadership Team and in coordination with USO Information Technology resources, assist with analysis and determination of system/technological needs of the group. Research the various available systems and provide recommendations for appropriate databases and tools.
• Make first-line binding decision about HRIS features and functionalities and escalate concerns when uncertain.
• Manage and lead subordinate(s) and provide HRIS team members with developmental opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is an in-person position located in Arlington, VA.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or Human Resources.
• 5+ years progressively responsible work experience in an HRIS administration/management role, including prior experience successfully selecting and implementing an integrated HRIS. Including 1+ years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
• General understanding of the Human Resources functional processes, information requirements and business needs of a mid-sized globally dispersed organization.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism and to articulate and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to manage and influence external vendor relationships.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking, human resource and/or learning management systems. Familiarity with UltiPro.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
• Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
• Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform basic business/accounting functions including project management and budget reconciliation.
• Must be a strong advocate of the USO's mission.

• The salary range for this position is $104,000-$140,000.
• To support pay transparency, this posting includes the anticipated base salary range for this role. Compensation is determined based on several factors including geographic location, relevant experience, specialized skills, certifications, and overall alignment with the position requirements. Our compensation practices are designed to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity across roles and levels.
