Every truck that leaves the factory is truly one-of-a-kind thanks to innovative engineering and meticulous construction.We are looking for an energetic, self-starting Chassis/Mechanical Assembly Technician for our Trucks division. If you want to work for a company that knows what it means to take care of people, then this might be the job for you!Essential Functions:Repair and modification of fire truck chassisOperate basic hand and power shop toolsAbility to read and follow blueprintsAbility to use and accurately read a tape measureOther duties as assignedRequirements:Knowledge and understanding of air brake operations and diesel motor operationsAbility to Mig and Tig weld is a plusExperience with low and high pressure air systemsKnowledge of mechanical PTO systems and pump plumbingUnderstanding of torque values (Wheels, Axle Shafts etc.)Experience with driving a class B commercial vehicle preferredEVT certification highly desiredMechanical aptitude requiredMust be able to follow directions and pay attention to detailAble to contribute in a fast paced/team atmosphereAble to obtain forklift certificationKneeling, crouching and laying on creeper under vehicles is requiredMust be able to lift up to 100 poundsMust be able to climb laddersAble to take initiative and problem solvePass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test and background checkBenefits:Paid Time Off and Sick TimeHealth and Dental BenefitsLife Insurance401k matchingDental Bill reimbursements ($400 per year)Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral Program9 Paid HolidaysWe believe your Birthday is a holiday and is a treated as such!
