About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on commercial transactions and property and casualty insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the company's managing general agent operations and will be involved in a range of corporate and strategic initiatives. This role demands a professional with a J.D. degree, a minimum of 8 years' of experience, and a strong background in the insurance industry, particularly in the areas of commercial judgment and serving as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various insurance-related agreements, managing regulatory compliance matters, and monitoring industry developments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks, including licensing, surplus lines, and TPA obligations, and will be adept at handling commercial and technology agreements. Experience in legal due diligence for M&A and strategic transactions is also a critical aspect of the role. The position requires excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, M&A-driven environment.
