Job Overview Human Resource Management & Development (HRMD) is made up of several departments that serve as advocates for the GW community and consistently provide discreet, valuable and personalized service that is timely and responsive. HRMD helps GW to maintain a diverse workforce of the highest caliber and to support employees in their roles within the university. Talent Acquisition within HRMD works with applicants, the human resources business partner team, and hiring managers to effectively and efficiently manage the recruitment of staff. Talent Acquisition develop processes to meet the university's goal of bringing together talented people from diverse backgrounds that support GW's teaching, research, and public service mission; and individuals who embrace the GW values of learning, communication, community, diversity, excellence, respect, service, sustainability, and teamwork. In support of these goals, Talent Acquisition seeks a Recruitment Coordinator. This position supports the recruiting activities of the university and the recruiting staff. The core responsibilities of this role are to post jobs on internal and external websites, to provide customer service for internal clients and external applicants, to process hiring documentation and background checks, and to produce offer letters. This position may also monitor a portfolio to ensure advertising produces a reasonable quantity of applicants, and will participate in and support various recruiting activities (e.g. job fairs, phone screens, reference checks). Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Recruitment Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Key Responsibilities Scheduling phone interviews and screening candidates for open positions. Scheduling interview panels and facilitating interviews on-site and virtually. Posting jobs on the internal GWU Jobs website and external websites; provide posting guidance and support. Monitoring assigned job requisitions to ensure advertising produces a reasonable quantity of applicants. Processing hiring proposals, background checks, and producing offer letters. Responding to applicant inquiries with a customer service and positive focused approach. Participating in various recruiting activities (job fairs, new hire orientation). Facilitating a weekly orientation schedule and assisting new hires in a positive onboarding experience. Calling and speaking with candidates and handling questions or intake escalations for the team. Performing other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Background check/screening experience. Ability to maintain confidential material. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Keen attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with others. Ability to multitask and prioritize daily activities and events. Experience working in a fast past, client focused environment.
