IWS Field Operations Manager 

Position Overview 
Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced  IWS Field Operations Manager to support the launch, training, and ongoing success of our on-site operations across the country. 

This is a hands-on, highly travel-based position for an experienced operations leader who can step into any client’s location and quickly take ownership. The IWS Field Operations Manager will lead new on-site implementations, train and develop on-site teams, provide operational coverage when needed, and help improve the performance of existing locations. 

The ideal candidate can do the work, teach the work, and lead the work. You must be comfortable recruiting, onboarding and training employees, managing employee relations, supporting payroll and timekeeping, working directly with client leadership, and overseeing all aspects of day-to-day on-site operations. 

This position requires 80–90% travel, including frequent overnight and extended travel. The position is remote when not traveling. 
Key Responsibilities 

• Assist with implementation and launch of new on-site operations from initial setup through stabilization. 
• Review established processes, workflows, SOPs, reporting, and operational standards for new locations. 
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, orient, and train employees to meet client workforce needs. 
• Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring Workforce Operations Managers and on-site team members. 
• Provide hands-on training on operating systems/platforms, employee relations, client management, reporting, and operational processes. 
• Step in as the interim on-site leader during vacancies, leaves, transitions, or other business needs. 
• Manage day-to-day on-site operations, including employee engagement, attendance, performance, corrective actions, and terminations. 
• Support employee relations investigations and ensure proper documentation and follow-through. 
• Assist with payroll, timekeeping, billing, and reporting as needed. 
• Build strong relationships with client HR, managers, and operational leadership. 
• Evaluate existing operations, identify performance or process gaps, and implement solutions. 
• Support locations during periods of high growth, peak demand, leadership transitions, or operational challenges. 
• Ensure company policies, processes, and operational standards are consistently followed. 
• Communicate site performance, challenges, risks, and action plans to the Vice President of Operations. 

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of progressive experience in workforce operations, recruiting, employee management, client relations, or multi-site operations preferred. 
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage all aspects of an on-site operation. 
• Strong hands-on recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee management experience. 
• Experience training, coaching, and developing managers and operational teams. 
• Experience with new location, account, or program implementations strongly preferred. 
• Strong client relationship building, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience in handling employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and terminations. 
• Working knowledge of HRIS, ATS, timekeeping, payroll, and workforce management systems is preferred. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience. 

Travel Requirements 
This position requires 80–90% travel throughout the United States . Candidates must be comfortable with frequent overnight travel, extended assignments, and supporting different shifts based on business needs. 

The successful candidate will be highly adaptable, comfortable working independently, and willing to roll up their sleeves and provide hands-on support wherever the business needs them most.
