Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Service Engineer with experience troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems on CNC mills and lathes. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment at customer sites , requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and machine calibration to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support, training, and recommendations to customers.
- Diagnose and repair CNC machine issues efficiently.
- Document service activities, including repairs and inspections.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, or HAAS NGC control systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals .
- Skilled in machine alignment, calibration, and diagnostics .
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Chicago area (90%) , with occasional overnight stays (10%).
