Technical Specialist

Troubleshoot, disassemble, check, clean, repair, replace, test, adjust, assemble, install, service, fabricate, and tow ground equipment while in service or undergoing overhaul/modification Certify quality of workmanship, including signing mechanical releases on field work Order, receive, inventory, secure, or disburse parts and supplies on or off airport facilities Work with assigned maintenance personnel to complete assignments Follow Company regulations, procedures, and instructions from leads, supervisors, or general managers Complete work-assignment forms and communicate with Company personnel as required Monitor staff, security contractors, and visitors and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or security-plan non-compliance Comply with site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations Operate tools and power tools for assembling, disassembling, repairing, and installing parts and components Read and interpret printed or computerized maintenance manuals and complete required paperwork Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum of two years of documented training and/or job experience in welding, machinery, electrical, and/or pneumatics Valid driver's license Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off Ability to read and work from diagrams Diesel experience required Minimum established Company tool requirements May be required to possess a Commercial Driver's License depending on assignment If CDL is required, subject to random Department of Transportation drug testing Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, push, pull, lift, carry, and work in restricted spaces Ability to lift parts and components up to 60 pounds and tools/equipment up to 100 pounds Ability to drive vehicles weighing up to 10 tons, or up to 40 tons in select assignments Ability to distinguish specified colors and work with color-coded wiring and components Ability to operate a variety of tools, including power tools Ability to work in a high noise-level environment Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and complete paperwork Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to regulate own work with little supervision and accomplish tasks independently Paint and body experience preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining ground equipment, with a strong focus on safety and compliance with company regulations. Proficient in operating various tools and interpreting maintenance manuals to ensure quality workmanship.
