Role Description The Bankruptcy Paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of consumer bankruptcy matters, with a focus on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and organizing client financial information, preparing and reviewing bankruptcy petitions and schedules, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all filings. The role involves communicating with clients to collect documentation, clarify details, and maintain case updates, as well as coordinating with courts and trustees regarding hearings, deadlines, and required submissions. The paralegal will use bankruptcy software and firm systems to manage case files, track timelines, and maintain detailed records. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hollywood, FL. Qualifications Bilingual prefered- Spanish and English to cater to our Florida clientelle. Strong skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing bankruptcy petitions and related filings. Knowledge of bankruptcy law and procedures, with specific experience handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer cases. Proficiency with bankruptcy case management software such as Best Case or Jubilee, and comfort working with digital case files and databases. Familiarity with court rules and practices, including scheduling hearings, filing documents with courts, and coordinating with trustees. Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in bankruptcy, litigation, or related practice areas. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent legal education; a bachelor's degree or formal paralegal training is preferred.
