The opportunities are endless.POSITION SUMMARY: Borst Landscaping is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations for Borst Landscaping (Allendale, NJ) and Back to Nature (Basking Ridge, NJ). This role focuses on new hire onboarding, employee engagement, and providing HR support to both field and office employees. Fluency in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Support local field staff recruiting efforts, including hiring events and initiativesManage pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and related requirementsCoordinate and facilitate onboarding for field and office employeesConduct new hire orientations and maintain onboarding documentation and personnel filesEnsure compliance with federal requirements by maintaining and processing I-9 recordsSupport seasonal workforce processes, including rehires and layoffsAssist employees with benefits enrollment and respond to benefit-related inquiriesProvide support on leave programs, including FMLA, state leaves, and company policiesDrive employee engagement initiatives and recognition programsConduct new hire check-ins to assess satisfaction and engagementPerform exit interviews and analyze feedback trends to improve retentionMaintain accurate employee data within Workday HRISSupport additional HR projects and initiatives as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:1–3 years of Human Resources experience requiredBilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferredExperience with onboarding processes, I-9 compliance, and E-Verify preferredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with Workday HRIS preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build relationships while maintaining confidentiality and professionalismWORK ENVIRONMENT:Position is based out of the Allendale, NJ location 3 days per week, and will support Basking Ridge, NJ location onsite 2 days per week.THE PERKS:401(k) plan with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceFSA/HSAPerkSpotLong-Term Disability and Life InsurancePaid time OffTuition Reimbursement (after one year of service)Pay TransparencyMariani Enterprises LLC is committed to pay transparency and equity among all employees and provides employees with an environment where pay transparency and dialogue on compensation are allowed.
