Exciting opportunity available for a Special Education Teacher to support a group of dynamic 3rd to 5th grade students. This contract role offers the chance to provide individualized instruction and meaningful guidance for a group of approximately 10 students. The position requires a passionate educator ready to begin as soon as possible and continue through to the end of September, with a schedule designed for work-life balance: 3.5 hours per day, five days per week.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-age children, particularly grades 3-5
• Understanding of IEP goals and implementation
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Positive, student-centered attitude with collaborative spirit
• Previous school-based experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to a caseload of about 10 students
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
• Track progress, maintain student records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Modify curriculum and instructional approaches based on student needs
• Provide direct support for behavioral and academic goals
• Maintain regular communication with families as appropriate
