Step into a rewarding contract position as an onsite Special Education Teacher, working with elementary students in a vibrant school setting near Ridgefield, CT. This full-time opportunity runs from now through the end of November 2026, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on a dedicated caseload of approximately 18 students.
You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment, developing and implementing individualized education plans that foster growth and achievement for each student. Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience working with elementary-age students
- Solid knowledge of IEP processes, instructional accommodations, and inclusive teaching strategies
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
- Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and growth-oriented classroom
Key Duties:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ unique needs
- Manage and support an elementary caseload of around 18 students
- Regularly collaborate with staff, therapists, and parents to ensure student progress
- Track academic and behavioral goals, reporting on student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and contribute positively to the school community
