Full Charge Bookkeeper

BRDG Studios is a bespoke design, build, and technology company seeking an in‑house Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our core financial infrastructure and day‑to‑day accounting operations. This is a full‑time, in‑person role based out of our headquarters in Cherry Hill Township, NJ. The ideal candidate brings experience from a high‑velocity, project‑based industry—such as a production agency, design‑build firm, or custom fabrication studio. This role requires an individual who thrives on building internal controls while seamlessly interfacing with internal teams, external CPAs, and enterprise client systems. $55k - $65k per year + benefits Key Responsibilities This position owns specific financial workstreams while collaborating across existing organizational touchpoints: Accounting & Financial Operations Core Bookkeeping: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through comprehensive weekly entries, updates, and maintenance. Work with project managers, and procurement leads to categorize and reconcile cost of goods. Accounts Payable (AP): Take full ownership of the weekly AP lifecycle. Interface directly with vendor reps, process vendor invoices, onboard new vendors, track aging bills, and organize weekly remittances with an Owner / Account Singer. Accounts Receivable (AR): Collaborate with Project Managers and company Principals to invoice key clients through online portals, closely managing and maintaining portal compliance, billing statements, and business credentials (W9, payment information, etc…). Sales Tax Returns: Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with state and local jurisdictions, subject to final Owner/Signer approval. Benefits & Insurance Renewals: Work with the Office Manager on benefits management and general liability insurance renewals. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Interfacing While this role is the anchor of our weekly bookkeeping, it operates within a collaborative ecosystem. You will act as a key interface to: Project Managers & Principals (PMs & PICs): Coordinate regularly regarding project‑based accounts, often fast‑paced payables for active job‑site needs, and ongoing receivables aligned with project deliverables and milestones set by PM’s and PIC’s. The Bookkeeper ensures these map perfectly back to the general ledger across the entire project lifecycle. Internal Leadership & HR: Support the Office Manager on broader financial touchpoints, recognizing that biweekly payroll and benefits management are handled under separate internal ownership. Internal Finance Team: Interface smoothly with procurement leads, project managers, and department heads regarding monthly corporate Amex reconciliations, and assist with best practices on payments, terms, and vendor alignment. External Legal and Tax Partners: Work with legal rep to prepare clean, audit‑ready books for CPA, who manages our quarterly corporate taxes and partner liabilities. Required Qualifications & Profile Industry Experience: 5+ years of full‑charge bookkeeping experience within an agency, production, or custom fabrication environment. You must understand the pacing of project‑based businesses and complex material/vendor procurement. Systems & Tools: Expert‑level mastery of Xero and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. Familiarity with enterprise procurement networks (e.g., Coupa) is a strong plus.
