• Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; On-call (Beeper/Phone) in-house, weekends 24-hour onsite support and OR call
• Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

• Experience: Prior cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Perform post-operative care for adult and geriatric cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Assist in emergency surgeries and procedures
• Take consults/referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
• Harvest veins during cardiac surgeries and assist in retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass
• Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care plans
• Interpret tests and order new diagnostics
• Document all care accurately in EMR (Epic)
• Support trauma level 2 unit and respond to urgent surgical needs
• Provide coverage during scheduled shifts and on-call periods

What You Need

• Valid Ohio Physician Assistant license
• Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery preferred
• Ability to perform vein harvesting and assist in emergency surgeries
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage inpatient care effectively
