Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist (PT) for our orthopedic outpatient practice located in vibrant San Diego, California. With a team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA), we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, individualized care. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that they receive the support they need to thrive.

Work Environment

This position operates onsite at our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility in San Diego. You'll enjoy a weekly schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, housed within a positive and collaborative atmosphere that fosters professional growth and patient success. The facility is well-equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology, ensuring that you have access to all necessary resources to provide superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at our practice, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and identifying the rehabilitative needs of patients, creating personalized treatment plans.
• Maintaining a manageable caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and high-quality care.
• Applying a range of evidence-based treatment techniques to improve patient mobility and function.
• Utilizing manual therapy techniques and developing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Documenting all patient interactions and progress in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.
• Collaborating with your peers and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient treatment outcomes.
• Regularly evaluating treatment effectiveness, making adjustments as needed, and communicating progress with patients and their families.
• Promoting wellness through education and motivating patients to pursue healthy lifestyle choices that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on an orthopedic patient population, primarily treating individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. We aim to empower each patient by addressing their unique challenges, educating them on their conditions, and facilitating their journey back to health with compassion and expertise.

Qualifications

To ensure the highest level of care, candidates for this role must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in California, with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and a strong understanding of exercise program design.
• Proficiency in using EMR software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable. Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Full benefits are included, allowing for a well-rounded compensation package.
