Role Description

An exciting growth frontier for Testlio is digital payments and financial transactions. We are hiring a visionary and hands-on Payments Solutions Architect to lead the intersection of digital financial transactions and quality engineering. This role brings together deep practitioner expertise and strategic business leadership. You will define, package, and oversee the quality of our payments testing offerings—establishing the catalog, methodology, staffing, and pricing—while diving deep into the technical architecture of complex transaction systems to solve quality engineering roadblocks. You will imagine and drive innovative strategies to expand our payments business while delivering exceptional, hands-on value across our client portfolio.

What would your day look like?

• Strategic & Commercial Responsibilities:
  • Vision Activation & Marketing: Imagine, drive, evangelize, and activate a viewpoint on the future of Payments Testing. Produce white papers, articles, posts, speeches, and webinars.
  • Ecosystem & Alliances Support: Collaborate with the Testlio VP, Alliances and external software partners to identify and execute joint GTM offerings with payments and commerce consultancies.
  • Sales Collaboration: Engage with enterprise-class prospects in partnership with Testlio Sales. Provide authentic and clear guidance on effective Payments Testing strategies, tactics, and ROI.
  • Offering Lifecycle Management: Launch, evolve, and refine payments services, based on market and competitive intelligence.
• Collaboration on Hands-on Delivery:
  • Architectural Design: Dive deep into client digital transaction architectures to design bespoke, highly technical quality engineering methodologies for agentic payments, mobile payments, wallets, and POS systems.
  • Delivery Expertise: Act as an escalation point and subject-matter expert for Delivery, stepping in hands-on from scoping to test execution review on complex or strategic payments engagements.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Solve technical roadblocks in payments quality engineering, ensuring transaction integrity, security, and compliance across different global regions and instruments.
  • Client Up-Leveling: Dive into intellectually stimulating, and 100M+ user scale-impacting work. Help Testlio Services teams and top clients see, design, and implement new technical approaches.

What do you need to succeed?

• Technical Skills:
  • Deep Payments Experience: 10+ years of deep experience with digital payment systems, including mobile payments, online banking, payment gateways, wallets, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Quality Engineering Affinity: Strong technical affinity for quality engineering, API integrations, and world-class software development methodologies within the financial sector.
  • Hands-on Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to dive into the technical architecture, troubleshoot payment integrations, and design structured evaluation criteria for complex transaction flows.
  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Human Skills:
  • Proven Client-Facing Experience: Strong management consulting or managed services background with a client-centric mindset and ability to lead technical discovery.
  • Commercial & Strategic Acumen: Experience designing service offerings, understanding cost-to-serve dynamics, and collaborating cross-functionally across sales and partners.
  • Systems Thinker: Keen intellect, vivid imagination, and rapid problem-solving capabilities, paired with a "lifetime learner" approach to functional application.
  • Communication: Excellent written, visual, and oral communication capabilities enabling clear message delivery and active listening to both technical teams and business executives.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership ability to motivate and inspire distributed cross-functional teams without direct people management burden.
