Summary (Position Description): The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting Accounting Department by handling administrative duties and keeping up with day-to-day procedures.

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Duties & Tasks:

· Entering and processing company expense reports

· Freight bill research and reconciliation

· Assist in period end closing duties

· Spend 1 day a week supporting Accounts Receivable

· Training AP and AR Teams

· Maintain Daily Bank Activity file

· Maintain offsite documentation storage

· Support Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable during absences

· Support Accounting Manager with GL Recons

· Maintain fixed Asset listing

· Assist in creating and maintaining accounting department SoPs and training documentation

· Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks that may be required

Work Environment:

· This job is performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The overall business is a manufacturing environment and at times may have to go into the manufacturing area wear proper PPE is required.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Requirements:

Requirements:

· Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is required.

· Experience working in SAP is required

· Accounting Degree or proof of working toward achieving a degree is preferred.

· Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines.

· Must be able to handle a high volume of emails and calls.

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people.

· Computer experience with Windows and MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Must have strong organizational skills
