Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including the documentation of mental health evaluations, from the first consultation through to the completion of treatment.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans based on individual client needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health issues, working collaboratively with clients to set and achieve their therapeutic goals.

• Monitor and record client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting strategies as necessary to enhance recovery outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to create comprehensive care plans.

• Provide follow-up care and post-treatment referrals as needed, ensuring continuity of care for clients admitted to hospitals.

• Assist family members and significant others in understanding and managing mental health challenges, providing support and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will serve a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups grappling with various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will help create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrable commitment to patient-centered care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information effectively.

• Experience managing co-occurring physical health issues, emotional challenges, and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
