Office Assistant - IE
This position performs a variety of duties to support the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices (OSARP). OSARP office hours during the school year (Fall/Spring) are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Our office is closed from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM for lunch.
Duties and responsibilities include: maintaining 10 scheduled office hours per week, providing administrative support to Front Desk Administrative Assistant, Office Coordinator, offering customer service to students, parents, staff, faculty, and federal agents, assisting with daily and weekly tasks including reminder phone calls, letter creation and data entry, providing additional support for Case Management and other units in the office as needed, demonstrating a commitment to the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices, its mission and its outcomes, and to the value statements of the Division of Student Affairs and the University, maintaining confidentiality as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regarding the non-disclosure of educational records; maintaining confidentiality of other sensitive information, attending staff training prior to commencement of duties; participating in ongoing training and professional development including but not limited to Education Programs Unit Staff Meetings, All Staff Meetings, and additional professional development, assessing professional progress and receiving feedback through biweekly meetings with supervisor and semester meetings with Associate Director of Case Management; participating in formal staff evaluation processes, and assisting with additional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications include: ability to maintain strict confidentiality, attention to detail, dependability, confidentiality, and punctuality are essential attributes for this position. Applicants must be in good academic standing and eligible for Federal Work Study in order to be considered.
Conditions of employment include: students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
