Automation Project ManagerThe Automation Project Manager is a cross-functional leader responsible for the overall success of the Solutions Projects - from initial scope/requirements definition and estimating, to technical management of the solution, and overall project management from receipt of order through project closure. Ensures the projects are executed according to the Faith Technologies Solutions' Group Best Practices.Minimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical fieldExperience: Eight (8) years' experience in:The design of industrial automation control systems; orThe design of building automation control systems; orThe design of power/energy automation control systems (multiple distributed energy resources preferred)andThree (3) years' experience managing industrial, building, or power/energy automation projects including budget, scope, and schedule responsibilitiesTravel: Up to 30% nationwideWork Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupports the proposal process as the Application Engineer, under the direction of department leaders:Architects and finalizes the primary solution strategyUtilizes internal and external Subject-Matter-Experts as needed to ensure the proposed solution is properly defined according to customer requirements, company best practices and industry standardsDefines and documents solution requirements which will become the basis for executing and managing the projectDevelops the project estimate, utilizing internal and external resources as required, ensuring business targets are metLeads the Technical Management of the solution:Develops the detailed solution requirementsDevelops the solution Block Diagram(s)Develops the solution Theory of OperationDevelops the solution Verification Test PlanScope Management:Ensures the solution meets the project (technical and business) requirementsIdentifies and executes project Change Orders for all out-of-scope itemsFinancial Management (Budget):Responsible for project profit and lossEnsure project meets financial targets using various methods to gather and analyze data along with taking appropriate action(s)Communicates project status to the clientSchedule Management:Develops and maintains a project WBS and schedule with tasks, resources, milestones, and deliverablesEnsures resources are assigned to tasks and collaborates with other department leaders/managers, holding them accountable to meet and maintain commitmentsQuality Management:Ensures the Solution meets the project requirements and customer satisfactionConducts project closeout/success review and applies best practices forwardDevelop and execute the Project Plan:Communication Management with both internal and external (client, vendors, etc.) customersRisk ManagementProcurement ManagementDocumentation ManagementAssists with the development of the Solutions' business best practices, policies, and procedures.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.How Does FTI Give YOU the Chance to Thrive?If you're energized by new challenges, FTI provides you with many opportunities.
