Maintenance Service Technician IThe Maintenance Service Technician I will work independently and proficiently machine maintenance ability to work on mechanical and electrical repairs. Trouble shootingMajor Areas of AccountabilityWith assistance, evaluate repair requests to determine course of action and/or parts required.Coordinates repair schedule with supervisor to minimize equipment down time.Confer with machine manufacturer for troubleshooting.Complete all required paperwork and updates service records as needed.Perform basic troubleshooting with assistance.Complete preventative maintenance and maintain schedule as directed.Performs other related duties as directed.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsEducation: High school graduate; or GED; or BOCES Machine Shop classes; or Skilled trade school graduateExperience: 6 to 12 months of machine repair or machine shop experienceMechanical aptitudeTravel Requirements: NonePreferred QualificationsEducation: NoneExperience: 1 year of machine shop experiencePhysical Demands (U.S. only)The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
