Position Specific Summary


The responsibilities of the research assistant include the following. The primary responsibility is to assist Professor Barnett in finishing an edited volume on international institutions; the tasks include both substantive and technical assistance. The RA will also be asked to perform other research duties, such as generating summaries of literature and articles, and chasing down missing citations and references.

Standard Position Description


The student will perform administrative and research tasks under general supervision by a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: contribute to peer reviewed research and write research memos of findings, assist with presentations, supervision and training of other student staff, write and run statistical programs to analysis data. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications


Previous skills, training, or experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications


A strong preference will be given to Ph.D. students who have a strong background in theories of international institutions from a political science perspective.
