As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, manage visitor and badge access, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.97 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat05:45 AM - 06:15 PMSun05:45 AM - 06:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel and emergency responders, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures. Minimum Requirements: Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
