Compliance SpecialistLocation: New York, NY Pay Rate: $50/hourSupports the organization's commitment to integrity and accountability by ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on compliance activities across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate internal processes and controls to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvementConduct audits and document findings through clear, detailed reportsTrack and interpret regulatory changes, assisting in the development and revision of policies and proceduresSupport internal investigations into compliance concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actionsPartner with cross-functional teams to promote and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsAssist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for staffWorking knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA)Experience with risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance monitoringStrong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management systemsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
