FileMaker Solutions Developer/Architect

Salary: $69,000 - 109,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a high school diploma or GED.
• We need 5+ years of experience developing and supporting FileMaker solutions.
• We require experience integrating FileMaker with ERP, SQL, EDI, API, and automation platforms.
• We need experience deploying, administering, and supporting FileMaker Server environments.
• Preferred: FileMaker Certified Developer or FileMaker Server certification.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience developing and supporting FileMaker solutions.
• Preferred: 5+ years designing enterprise business systems.
• Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, fulfillment, distribution, or similar operational settings.
• We need proficiency with FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Server, FileMaker Data API, and Script Workspace.
• We need knowledge of SQL Server, ODBC/JDBC, REST APIs, JSON, scripting, and third-party integrations.
• We need experience with database design, performance tuning, security models, reporting, dashboards, and workflow automation.
• We require the ability to work onsite in our Grayslake facility.
• Working conditions include occasional walking, manual dexterity for repetitive tasks, and frequent sitting for extended periods.

• We design, develop, and maintain FileMaker-based enterprise applications, including custom ERP, production, manufacturing, and workflow systems.
• We build scalable database structures, including schemas, relationships, calculations, scripts, layouts, portals, security models, and user interfaces.
• We optimize databases and tune system performance.
• We lead SDLC activities such as requirements gathering, business analysis, data modeling, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.
• We create and maintain test environments while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• We design integrations between FileMaker and enterprise platforms such as ePS Monarch, SQL Server, EDI systems, REST APIs, ODBC/JDBC, and third-party tools.
• We develop automation using FileMaker Data API, REST services, JSON, SQL, scripting, and approved plugins.
• We create automated workflows that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and streamline operations.
• We partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, reporting, and process improvement.
• We build dashboards, analytics, KPI reporting, and operational insights for manufacturing, fulfillment, inventory, finance, and business operations.
• We improve data governance, system reliability, and operational visibility across enterprise platforms.
• We serve as the FileMaker subject matter expert and define development standards, best practices, and documentation expectations.
• We provide architecture reviews, technical guidance, mentoring, system diagrams, and support for complex application issues.
